There are five steps for processing information, collectively called Information

processing cycle

a) Input: - Entering data into the computer user interface:

Keyboard, mouse, scanner etc.

b) Processing: Performing operation on the data processcalculate change etc.

c) Output: - Presenting result output: Monitor printer Speaker etc.

d) Storage: Saving data or program storage- RAM and Hard disk etc.

e) Distribution: - information can be printed and distributed or directly
